Melanie Peacock, PhD, MBA, FCPHR, SHRM-SCP
Melanie Peacock, with over 30 years of experience as a Human Resources Management professional, brings enthusiasm as well as a rich and diverse set of experience to her work. Melanie was presented with the 2020 Canadian HR Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the HR Industry.
As a leader and consultant in a variety of corporate environments, Melanie has guided HR teams that have created and implemented numerous processes and systems that enabled organizations to engage their employees and achieve strong results. Projects have included facilitating strategic planning and team building sessions, developing corporate performance management and recruitment systems and developing/implementing training programs. As well, Melanie is an active and sought after local, provincial, national and international media contributor and commentator and the co-author of best selling HR textbooks.
CPHR AB presented Melanie with a Fellowship award in 2021 and the Distinguished Career Award in 2014. A gifted group facilitator and teacher Melanie regularly receives top teaching ratings and was awarded the first Mount Royal Faculty Association Teaching Excellence Award. In further recognition of her work and accomplishments Melanie was the recipient of the prestigious Western University Alumni Association’s 2016 Professional Achievement Award. As well, Melanie has been named by HRD as one of the top 100 Global HR professionals and was listed in HRD magazine’s 2017 Hotlist as one of the top 30, most influential HR practitioners in Canada.
Melanie obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) at the University of Alberta, her MBA from the Ivey School of Business (Western University) and her PhD (Werklund School of Education) from the University of Calgary.
Anita Angelini, M.A.
Anita thrives while working on projects with direct and undisputable community impact and organizational learning. Anita currently consults with board directors and executive management to help their organizations evolve. Her specializations include: nonprofit governance, board development, strategic planning, linking strategic and operational plans, environmental scanning, organizational growth modelling, and activating organizational values and culture.
Anita’s professional experience is anchored in adult learning whether it be in Learning and Education for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Moscow, Russia and across Central and Eastern Europe, or as a retired professor in Nonprofit Studies and Business with cross-appointment in the Faculty of Teaching and Learning, both at Mount Royal University. Her work in the fields of Nonprofit Leadership and Volunteer Management Administration is published in academic journals, textbooks, and practitioner texts.
Anita holds a Master’s Degree from Stanford University in Higher Education Administration.
Eric Myers, MBA, BBA
Eric Myers teaches HR, Organizational Behavior, Management and Finance classes at the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and Bow Valley College. In recognition of this engaging instruction and strategic approach, Eric was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award from the University of Calgary in 2023. As a passionate and engaging educator, Eric helps people challenge their current perspectives while learning new competencies and skills. Eric also has experience in banking and retail sectors.
Through his vast and varied work and academic background, and strong analytical skills, Eric brings a depth of perspective and talents to all projects he works on.
Eric obtained his MBA from the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary and his BBA from Mount Royal University.
Cam Simpson, BA
Cam Simpson has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. In various roles Cam was responsible for business development, investigating claims to ensure expedient and fair resolution to serve the interests of multiple stakeholders and managed employees through effective coaching and feedback. Through his work Cam has developed strong interviewing, negotiating and strategic planning competencies that enable organizations to determine key issues that need to be addressed and enhanced.
Cam obtained his BA, Economics from the University of Calgary.
